It's that time of year again. It's time to start thinking of vacation bible school. This year we have a registration website. Volunteers and participants are encouraged to follow this link and sign up today!

The days go by sooooo quickly.....

A lot has happened over the last few months since we posted. We've had several new members and baptisms. Awana has been going strong every night when the weather has allowed us to meet. What a winter! Can you believe that it's already time to prepare for vacation bible school. We have chosen a theme and I am so excited about it!

Step back in time—to see what life was like when Jesus was a kid.

Just imagine…
• Exploring authentic traditions,
• Building strong relationships with other family members,
• Trying new crafts and games,
• Smelling and tasting new foods, and
• Learning from Jesus’ mom, Mary, about God’s incredible love for us.

Everything…from the music to the costumes to the Marketplace crafts…absolutely everything has the look, feel, and flavors inspired by ancient Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid.
This summer, let’s bring that same wonder and excitement to our church! Be a part of the vacation Bible school at Burlington Baptist Church during June 6 - 10, 2011. It’s our goal to reach 75-100 kids with this program. That’s 75-100 kids who will grow in their relationship with God!

We’re praying that this awesome VBS program will touch children’s hearts and lives with his love. Join in the mission of helping kids in our community discover that

• Jesus had a family…we do, too.
• Jesus had a name…we do, too.
• Jesus had a home…we do, too.
• Jesus went to church…we do, too.
• Jesus served others…we do, too.

As we plan and prepare for Hometown Nazareth VBS, we cherish your prayers. Will you pray that God grants us wisdom in planning? Please pray for the right staff members to join our team. And also pray that God begins working in the hearts of the children who will visit Hometown Nazareth!

AWANA

Our AWANA program is growing. Burlington's attending children join over a million kids who each week come to over 12,000 churches in the United States changing young lives through Biblical truth. AWANA helps churches and parents raise children to know, love, and serve Christ. Our AWANA program is under the direction of Anthony & Tammie Bright.
